Using an amalgam of high-tech polarized lenses and "de-constructed" LCD screens, Brent Green's animated film "To Many Men Strange Fates are Given" presents a folksy hand made narrative centered on the Russian space dog Laika. A cobbled together seating area, and machined wooden audio horns, allows viewers to see and hear the "film" which is invisible without the polarizing panes. This project was completed during a residence at the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center in conjunction with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
