This is my video explaining the ChemBot.

ChemBot is an arm with five degrees of freedom. It has a shoulder joint, and a wrist tilt and wrist roll joint.

The purpose of the robot is to exemplify the process of remote experimentation. It eliminates the risk to the researcher by physically isolating the experiment from the experimenter.
