This is old video I am only keeping up to show rumor2 and rumor touch phones. See other videos too. Here is 4 of the Virgin Mobile Beyond Talk phones of LG Rumor 2 vs LG Rumor Touch vs Blackberry Curve 8530 vs Samsung Intercept quick Review. I hope some of this information of pros and cons are helpful for those people who are still deciding. Tried to cover screen video, sound, camera, reception, wifi, compatibility, issues, and more in less then 15 minutes...... but in short here is pro and cons of 8530 and intercept
See my videos for a more in-depth review of just the intercept and the 8530
BB 8530 PROS: easy, stable, notification light, speaker adjustable with treble bass and preset equalizer, headphone sound boost, voice commands, can add google for voice web search, wifi and cell connection can be shut off separately or both saving on batter usage when not using one or both, can pull sd card without unmounting no corruption issues, MMS sent to email as thumbnail and link to be able to view larger and rotate pic also download the full picture files. desktop syncing software with easy one click backup of all data on phone to computer, secure, can schedule automatic daily phone off and on to save battery.... CONS: small hard to see keys, no arrow keys, slightly saturated camera pictures with fixed focus, smaller screen, can not shut off camera sound (must use a app to mute it), camera only 2mp
Intercept PROS: larger screen, lots of apps and fun eye candy, touch screen, drag and drop customization, onscreen keyboard, google voice search and text for on screen keyboard, speaker loud, camera 3mp with good focus and even a macro mode, large quiet qwerty keys, when wifi is stably connected fast downloads.... CONS: lacks 64-bit diver support problematic with windows 7 64-bit connecting to for SD files most always doesn't recognize, freezes easy, notification connection bar freezes can't open, qwerty keys feel like pressing bubble wrap, no adjustable bass or treble with sound, mms embeds pictures in email and can't download as attachment save with a right click, if you pull sd card with out un-mounting first will corrupt card and may loose all data (twice SD card corrupted itself after phone froze up), cell data connection drops signal, wifi issues some B-G-N routers, no notification light.
Claims are not false... see complaints from other Intercept owners on sprint forum...
