Mad Russia Commuter Airways is an idea that grew out of our Babson MBA CapStone final project. The idea is that Mad Russia Airways will service Fortune 1000 business passengers who must commute long distances through heavy traffic to inconvenient major airport hubs many hours in advance of their flight. Instead, Mad Russia Mad Russia will utilize small, regional airports near points of departure and arrival, focussing on thinly traveled routes just outside of major metro areas. We believe that over the next 10 years that there are at minimum 20, under-serviced thin route markets that will generate between $400 million to $500 million in gross revenue. Sales efforts will focus on Fortune 1000 businesses who have offices in the matched cities that the airline will service. As away to cover fixed expenses, the airline will pre-sell 2 or 3 tickets per flight to corporate users, which will guarantee their employees a seat on that specific flight.
