RESULTS: NEEDLE - 10.2MM GAP / SPHERE - 4.26 MM GAP
First, I will explain why a spark can be made without a battery or typical power source:
This is caused via something called piezoelectricity. This has been around for a long time.
I saw that Needle shapes create a longer spark gap than the spherical ones I would hypothesize that Needle shapes, however would not last as long as the surface area emitting and receiving the spark is less than a large ball shape
