Scroll down for lyrics. Canadian grandmothers want their politicians to transcend partisan politics and fix the Canadian Access to Medicines Regime (CAMR) so that lower-cost, generic medicines can reach people in developing countries. In 7 years since the law was originally passed a solitary shipment of one AIDS drug has been sent. "Shame!" say the grannies. For more information go to www.aidslaw.ca/camr
Give them medicines / give them life / Give them access / let's provide
See the grannies / disbelieving / Save the children / no more grieving
Fixing CAMR / our frustration / We want action / not cancellation
Africa calls us / every nation / So MPs pass / legislation
Sing for all children / for all mothers and grannies too
Lets turn the tide on AIDS / And together at the end of the day
We all say....

When I get older I will be stronger. They'll call me freedom, just like a wavin' flag. (x2)
It's time to give back,
So let us give back,
And let us give back (x5)

Don't play games with / children's lives / We're not kidding / do what's right
ARVs are / what they're needing / That is why we're / interceding
Stop the sham and / stop pretending / Will this game be / never ending
It's your duty / obligation / Make it law, ship / medication
Access to medicines / for Africa's children
We must turn the tide on AIDS / What would your grandmother say....

Chorus rpt x2
