Now let's take a look at protests heating up in Australia. The Olympic flame arrived in Canberra on Wednesday ahead of the Australian leg of the torch relay.
STORY:
The torch arrived at at Fairbairn air base while people gathered in
Sydney for peaceful pro-Tibetan protests.
Overnight, the Australia Tibet Council sent a message to the Chinese government by projecting the words "Don't torch Tibet" and
"China, talk to the Dalai Lama" onto the side of the Sydney harbor bridge.
A man and a women have been arrested today for trying to unfurl what is
believed to be a pro-Tibet banner over the side of the same bridge.
Hundreds of additional officers have been deployed to Canberra for tomorrow's run to avoid a repetition of protests on other legs of the torch.
