Part of the 2012 Election Project from Listitude.
Part of our non-partisan election coverage. This was a news item on election day, November 6, 2012. The new Black Panther Party agent or agends in sort of paramilitary uniforms stood at the doorway of one or more polling places in Philadelphia. This was highly controversial in the 2008 election, where it was believed that the Black Panther members sought to intimidate voters going to vote in Philadelphia by scaring away people they thought might vote against Barack Obama by standing at polling places. The video shows the Black Panther seeming to open doors for voters approaching, kind of helpful. The contrary view is that his paramilitary appearance is threatening to others. What do you think? Is this a legitimate poll tactic, or is it vote suppression?
