Many faculty members do not have a positive impression of webcasting. Many assume that they would appear in some small screen in the IVLE or do not feel comfortable with the idea that webcasting leaves a " verbal trial" of their classroom activities. In this presentation, I will share my experiences with webcasting to big (approximately 290 students) and medium size (ca 120 students) classes, and hopefully provide an objective view of what to expect, as well as what not to expect when using this teaching aid.

Dr Go Mei Lin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy NUS. She is an alumni of the University of Singapore (BSc HOns Pharmacy 1976) and National University of Singapore (PhD 1981). She has used webcasting for some 7 years in her teaching of two modules -- PR 3101 Principles of Medicinal Chemistry and GEK 2506 Drugs and Society.
