February 11, 2013 Senate Energy Chairman George Maziarz talks about the 18A assessment energy surcharge tax that Governor Cuomo wants to extend in the budget. Senator Maziarz explains how every NY ratepayer is charged and that the money doesn't go to the PSC like it was intended, but gets swept into the general fund. Business leaders and people on fixed incomes speak out in support of repealing this tax.
