This is a great rag guitar song called "That'll Never Happen No More" by the awesome Blind Blake, a sensational guitarist who was recorded in the late 1920's to early 1930's when he died. Blind Blake was known as the 'ragtime' guitarist who could play piano-like melodies on his guitar with blistering speed and accuracy. He is a veritable legend and one of my favorites. I do a lot of Blind Blake tunes and you should check out my page for more ragtime guitar and country blues. I wish you all the very best!
Lyrics
I met a girl at the cabaret
said pretty papa i'm goin your way
her man know what it all about
waiting at home just to throw me out
broke my nose split my chin
dont let me catch you here again
he whipped me from the kitchen back to the door
he beat me with a chair till my head got sore

that'll never happen no more
that'll never happen no more

the wind in chicago winter and fall
is what caused me to wear my overalls
got broke was my fault
been used to eating porkchops an meat and salt
i met a woman just a pigmeat some
big fatmouth me followed her
she pulled a gun take my joint
didnt leave me hard on didnt get sore

that'll never happen no more
that'll never happen no more
