"Now with YouTube and all these other mediums... How do we trust that we can trust someone's message?"

Greg Link believes the best way for people to listen to your message and trust you is to "talk-straight" and "be authentic". The counterfeit to talking straight is called "Spin" which is technically telling the truth, but leaving the wrong impression. When people listen to your message, they can quickly presume whether you are being genuine or trying to sell them something. Link says that if they know you're being real, people are more likely inclined to listen to your message. People resonate with things that are authentic, and that's why many of the videos that go viral are observations of real events. We have to open up our agenda and not having hidden things that make people suspicious. It's risky to be real, but it's the best way to be trusted. Many of the videos that are over produced with music and helicopters, cause people to blow off all the superficial stuff.
