Research led by Prof. Ryan Jensen at Yale Medical School focuses on elucidating the links between BRCA2 gene mutations and breast cancer. Learn how researchers in his lab use Bio-Rad's V3 Western Workflow to study interactions between BRCA2 proteins and the DNA repair protein RAD51. Understanding how these proteins interact in carcinogenesis and tumor growth will provide a better understanding of breast cancer mechanisms that could lead to new therapies.

• Transfer proteins — the Trans-Blot® Turbo™ system enables rapid protein transfer in as little as 3 minutes while maintaining high transfer efficiency over a wide range of molecular weights
• Verify protein transfer — the ChemiDoc MP imager paired with stain-free technology enables instant verification of protein transfer to the membrane
• Validate and quantitate — the ChemiDoc MP imager and Image Lab™ software can be used to validate western blotting data by total protein normalization to housekeeping proteins, eliminating the need for stripping and reprobing. Image Lab software yields quantitative results instead of relative normalization
