When loading games from steam, the message box of 'counterstrike:source loading' appears as usual. Then my LCD TV (being used as my monitor) suddenly cuts to its default blue screen of nothingness. Pressing escape or ctrl alt delete does nothing to restore me to the windows interface, and i have to restart my pc. I am attempting this on a recently purchased pc from Novatech.co.uk entitled the 'iRave' which contains a 2.66Ghz quad core, 4gig of RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 5450. I am connecting my PC to my monitor via HDMI. I have installed the latest graphics card drivers from their website. Any help would be massively appreciated. Thankyou.
*EDIT* I contacted Valve, and I have now rectified this problem. If you are having this problem, go to the game, right click and select properties. Then click 'set launch options' In the text box type "-windowed" without the speech marks, but notice the little dash there. This will open the game in a small window, and from there i was able to play around with the resolution settings of the game from within the in-game options. Once this was set correctly, i no longer had to open the game in windowed mode. I hope this helps :)
