Doctors told Jerron Herman he would never live a normal life. Born with a form of cerebral palsy, he thought his dream of becoming a performer was out of reach. Until he met choreographer Heidi Latsky who saw possibilities in him that no one else had. This piece was honored with a 2015 National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Award, bestowed by the Los Angeles Press Club, the judges describing the piece as "inspiring and heartfelt."
