How to change your Maytag Neptune door latch wax motor

http://www.neptunehelp.com - Maytag Neptune front loaders with the timer knob were shipped with faulty door latch wax motors, Part # 12002535. You need to inspect your door latch to see if you have the faulty brownish colored actuator tip. If so, you need to replace it asap.

The new wax motor design has a black actuator tip. When the wax motor shorts out it will damage the machine control board by burning the Q6 triac and R11 resistor. Your machine will not spin the clothes because the door will not lock. Keep in mind the wax motors run very hot to the touch normally.
