A bit of a long one. But the cameras were synced, so this is as it happened in "real time." Not much could have been edited out.

The video opens as BNSF 5932 pulls up to the Honey Creek Road grade crossing near Chana, Illinois. Waiting for the eastbound 7336. At 0:38 the warning bells at Rocky Hollow Road (where the cameras are positioned) sound. The Picture-in-Picture shows the reason... 7336 is approaching from the west and accelerating.

Now comes the fun. Unseen, beyond the left of the frame, at the crossing, is a white pickup truck... waiting for the crossing gates to go up. At 1:05, the gates begin to go up... 7336 is coming fast as can be seen in the PIP. But as soon as the gates go up, they go down, and the pickup makes a nice move to get around the dropped gate as 7336 roars into the picture. ( A four-engine consist with two Warbonnets)

At about 3:50 the rear of 7336 clears the crossing. The gates go up, then drop again a few seconds later as 5932 lays on the horn and notches it up. You can still see the rear of 7336 as it passes Chana Road. The distance from the camera to Chana Road is about 1.3 miles. The distance to the near grade crossing, about 1,700 feet. At about 5:53, the 2nd unit comes into view, 9662 an SD70MAC with the BNSF Executive paint scheme.
