The Intelligent Health Pavilion™ showcased at HealthAchieve 2016 by the Intelligent Health Association, reflected a broadened approach to include many facets of patient healthcare; not only in the hospital, but also in the patient’s own home.

The busy pavilion, in its second year at HealthAchieve, was the winner of the 2016 People’s Choice Exhibitor Award.

The pavilion was designed to showcase the continuing evolution, development and proliferation of technologies for the full continuum of healthcare, from the hospital to the home. Our goal is to help raise the level of awareness of technologies that make healthcare more efficient, effective and comprehensive via wireless information delivery, as well as medical devices, wireless sensors applications and Auto-ID and RFID/RTLS platforms. The integrated technology and solutions displayed and demonstrated at the pavilion were designed not only to improve patient care in the hospital, but to assure the wellness of that patient even after he or she goes home. Special emphasis was put on the importance of IoT ( the Internet of Things) and how it is playing an increasingly important role in healthcare delivery.

This year the Intelligent Health Pavilion™ allowed visitors to view technologies, in action, that improve wellness in a variety of settings. These included the traditional patient care and treatment environments of a patient room and critical care unit, and also a “Smart Home” setting that demonstrated the continuum of integrated healthcare between hospital, home, patient and healthcare provider. A Demo Zone, where visitors could learn about and experience new healthcare apps and wearables first hand and a special IoT demonstration area were also featured. Industry thought leaders provided educational, informational and panel discussion sessions in the Leadership Theatre throughout the 2 day exhibition.

The pavilion provided demonstrations of diverse technologies and systems, and how they can be integrated through a series of use case demonstrations highlighting the impact in workflows, patient care and data sharing between the home and the healthcare provider.

The latest design of the Intelligent Health Pavilion™ is the result of close partnerships with physicians, nurses, administrators and industry to showcase how existing and emerging technologies can be combined and integrated most effectively in the real world.

This year’s pavilion experience contributed to the Intelligent Health Association mandate to continue delivering educational programs to the healthcare community, as well as to sponsor research and collaborate with standards bodies to ensure technologies provide the benefits most needed in the healthcare community.
