Model, actress and environmentalist, Lily Cole, has made a short film created in the Brazilian Amazon during a weeklong trip as an ambassador for Sky Rainforest Rescue -- Sky and WWF's partnership to help save one billion trees.

The audience is taken on an awe-inspiring journey as Lily offers an insight into the rainforest, creatively illustrating her experiences with locals on the ground, from rubber-tapper to caterpillar. Combining personal footage with existing archive film, and featuring a unique soundtrack written and performed whilst in the rainforest, Lily captures the raw beauty of a highly threatened environment that is now being protected by its inhabitants.

As ambassador for the initiative, Lily travelled to the heart of the rainforest in the State of Acre, Brazil, in late 2012 to see first-hand the projects that have been created by Sky and WWF to help tackle deforestation. As part of her journey, Lily boldly ventured out with an 8mm camera to self-direct a piece to help generate awareness around the project.

Lily Cole commented, "Sky Rainforest Rescue is an initiative which I'm incredibly passionate about. I am deeply committed to initiatives that try to protect the environment and I loved the opportunity to finally get behind the camera and capture an extraordinary journey."
