Asus X550 / X550VC review: entry level 15.6 inch laptop

The ASUS X550 which we've reviewed in this clip is an entry level 15.6 inch laptop featuring a plastic body, but one with a fair quality, some nice design cues and a mediocre non-touch display. While construction is one of its strengths I have to admit the poor quality screen and the inadequate cooling system are things you should worry about if thinking of purchasing the Asus X550 laptop (X550VC is the model we've tested).

Add the 3 hours battery life and you understand why we've called it an entry-level notebook. As a side note, we don't think you'll find something much better in this price range.

There are many versions of this Asus laptop available in stores, including the X550CC, the X550VC and the X550CA but except for some hardware specs, they are mostly the same.
