Wabi Sabi is a Japanese worldview that finds beauty in the sincerity, simplicity, and integrity of the natural world. The Wabi Sabi performance series embraces this aesthetic by bringing Atlanta Ballet dancers out of the theater and into the gardens. Presented at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens as part of Cocktails in the Garden, Wabi Sabi is the newest addition to Atlanta's dance scene—7 world premieres by 7 of our city's own emerging choreographers. Join us and be a part of a new movement in dance—one that reveals some of nature's most basic truths in our constantly evolving, and growing world.
Video was filmed and edited by Brian Wallenberg. Footage was recorded of a performance at the Atlanta Botanical Garden in 2011.
