Cheese Toast ... crispy, flavourful and easy to make. Good for evening snack or party snack. This recipe has been in my family for decades. My mother learned it from a Polish lady who had served it as a snack at her home. I would make it (as a little girl) with my mother and enjoyed it very much.
The addition of herbs and spices is totally my idea. It works well. You can use any herb or a mix of herbs or a combination of spices to flavor your toast.
Ingredients: Cheese (grated) – 1 cup (processed) Bread Slices (stale or fresh) – 6 Low fat Cream – 6 tsp Garlic (grated or chopped finely) – 1 tsp Warm Milk – ¼ cup Pepper pdr – ½ tsp Chili flakes – 1 tsp Dried Mixed Herbs – 1 tsp Roasted Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
