A Conversation with the President of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete

As his second and final constitutional term comes to a close, President Kikwete will reflect on his presidency, examining his accomplishments, some of the key challenges he has faced, and lessons learned from his 10 years in office. The President will also share his views on succession and democratic governance, and provide a glimpse of his plans for the post-presidency phase of his leadership. Finally, he will discuss challenges to and prospects for Africa's development, and his perspective on the present state and future of U.S.-Africa relations.
