Ads by BetterSurf is an ad-supported (users may see additional banner, search, pop-up, pop-under, interstitial and in-text link advertisements) cross web browser plugin for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome, and distributed through various monetization platforms during installation.
If you are seeing pop-up and in-text ads from Better Surf within Internet Explorer, Firefox or Google Chrome, then your computer is infected with an adware or a potentially unwanted program. The Better Surf infection is designed specifically to make money. It generates web traffic, collects sales leads for other dubious sites, and will display advertisements and sponsored links within your web browser.
How to get rid of BetterSurf ads? For Google chrome: Go to your extensions in your Google menu: (Chrome Menu Button - Settings - Extensions) There will be an extension labeled BetterSurf that has been "enabled" you'll see the checked box. I had the same problem today and I deleted it by clicking the trashcan icon. For IE: Go to your Tools tab in IE
Click manage ad-ons
While Toolbars & Extensions is highlighted, scroll down (in box on right side) until you see this "BetterSurf"
At bottom of screen click disable. Firefox: go to the Firefox menu at the top left of your Firefox window, then click on Add-ons -- it'll bring you to the Add-ons Manager. Click on the Extensions tab, and should you see BetterSurf there, click Disable. Firefox will require you to restart, so do that, go back to the Extensions tab on the Add-Ons window, and it'll show you that BetterSurf has been disabled.
