The Dutch Baby pancake is a recipe made for a cast iron skillet, and it's as fun to make as it is to eat! Here's a step-by-step guide to baking this cast iron skillet favorite.
1. Preheat oven to 450°F. 2. Heat your skillet in the oven for 10 minutes. 3. Heat ½ cup of milk in the microwave for 20 seconds. 4. Add 2 eggs. 5. Mix together milk, eggs, ½ cup of flour and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth. 6. Coat your skillet in butter. 7. Pour in the mixture. 8. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Yes, it is supposed to get really puffy. 9. Top with anything you like, or eat it plain! We suggest fresh berries, mushrooms and cheese, powered sugar, or lemon juice.
