In this video, I use several different transformers to feed AC to electrolytic capacitors. I start out with 6 VAC from a rewound MOT. This was not enough, so I added a transformer and went with 12 VAC. This worked, but I then switched to another rewound MOT that gives 100 VAC at 12 A. The last capacitor would not blow, so I put the transformers away and got out my 62uf 6200V cap bank. The first shot split the side a bit, the second shot blew the cap apart.
