A savory tart for the warm afternoons that summer brings. We kept it simple: a few basic ingredients (that are interchangeable depending on what's fresh and in season) and the option to use a pre made dough round (who has time to bake from scratch when the summer sun is beckoning??). Serve with a strawberry and balsamic green salad and call it delish.
Ingredients: pie crust, yellow tomatoes, cream cheese, fresh herbs (such as rosemary), sea salt, pepper
Bake at 400 for 40 ish minutes (every oven is different, watch carefully). Pump up the oven to a Broil for the last 10 or to achieve that nice gently charred, bubbly effect with tomatoes.
