The Regional DUI Task Force effort is a new program in North Dakota that enables city, county, tribal and state law enforcement agencies to work together to create a highly visible sustained enforcement which deters drunk driving throughout North Dakota.
Alcohol-related fatalities occur not only on state highways, but city, county, and tribal roadways. The unified regional saturation patrols are part of the North Dakota Department of Transportation's program to decrease the number of alcohol-related fatalities and car crashes. This Regional DUI Task Force program began October 1, 2010. www.dot.nd.gov
