Depressing, but, informative. You wanted to know why I work 40 hours a week, go to school full time, and am stressed? Here is why.

In my opinion, since you have this illness, your parents, and family should be more supportive. They shouldn't be so insensitive. My mother is brutally insensitive, even got pissed because I've been sick. Please surround yourself with Positive Supportive People, even if its NOT your Family.

Amen, Welcome to the world! They seem to say/think anything above oxygen, and water is not a nesc. therefore not needed. Hope things have turned around some.

I highly understand you i am a working full time mom and trying to manage college it is not easy but i do have my husband that supports me and understands me. I wish the best for you and it seems that you are going through so much at the moment , it sounds to me that your family is not very supportive but hang in there. I just hope that you will overcome everything especially your depression; talk to someone your friends or your boyfriend that will help

I feel for you. I was in college when I got UC. I did not have a car, cell phone, or bills. I got financial aid, and paid the rest by working as an RA. I was out for a semester with my surgery. I finished college, 2 degrees, and surgery was paid for by my father's insurance. I feel so bad for you, and really understand. Things will surely get better. I have since lived with an ileostomy for 31 years, succesful career, and active sex life. God be with you through your struggle.

I just saw you blog of 9/23/08. I hope your situation has significantly improved since then. Having had UC and now having had ileostomy for 13+ years my heart really goes out to you. I know how difficult life can be - especially with a bowel disease. Please let me know how you are doing. Stan
