"Fresh Tracks: A Story of Ski Pioneer" is based on the true-life story of Paul "Bud" Leimkuehler, a champion speed skater who loses his leg in WWII, but finds his footing again when he returns to winter sports as the first U.S. amputee skier.

He was inducted in the Ski Hall of Fame in 1981 for designing outriggers that amputee skiers still use today. He was also awarded the Purple Heart and inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.

The full length documentary is in the works. Reach out if you are interested in working together.
