The theme of the episode is Musical Hero Special. The show commences with Sonu Nigam remembering Late Mohd Rafi who died on 31st of July. He pays a tribute to the legendary Mohd Rafi with his performance on 'Main Wahi Wahi Baat'. Shreya Ghoshal and Sanjay Leela Bhansali also reveal about their inspiration for music to be Lata Mangeshkar. In this episode, contestants perform on the songs of their idols. First one to perform is Deewana Group, who presents a Qawwali by Late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, 'Iss Shaane Karam Ka' in the honour of the man himself. It's undoubtedly their one of the best performances. The next one to enter the stage is Seema Jha, who performs on 'O Palan Hare' a song by her and many others' idol Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. Judge Gurus once again appreciate her for this performance. Before leaving, Seema Jha starts singing 'Happy Birthday to you' and gives surprise to Sonu Nigam. Aditya Narayan further astonishes Sonu Nigam by ushering Sonu's mother, Shobha Nigam to the stage. Then the stage turns into a birthday bash. Sonu Nigam also gets a violin as his birthday gift. Nirmitee Group acknowledges A. R. Rehman as their guru. They come up with a splendid performance on an innovative medley of 'Urvasi Urvasi' & 'Humma Humma'. Next one to perform is Kartar Singh who tells about importance of his icon, Mohd Rafi in his life. He presents Mohd Rafi's 'Ek Haseen Shaam Ko' in a very pleasant way.
Sajda Sisters come to the stage with their performance on 'Jab Andhera Hota Hai' composed by the evergreen music composer R. D. Burman. They take everyone back to the 70's with their class apart retro performance. The final performer of the evening is Geet Sagar, who, with his performance on 'Aai Chand Teri', pays respect to his idol, Sonu Nigam, who luckily, sits in front of him. His passionate singing which includes superbly carried high notes makes this his best performance so far. Sonu Nigam can't help going to the stage and hugging him. Before the show terminates, performer of the week award goes to Deewana Group for their stunning performances on 'Omkara' and 'Iss Shaane Karam Ka'.

Having spun numbers like Mera Rang De Basanti Chola, Dil Dooba and Kal Ho Na Ho among numerous others, this versatile performer has won many accolades and is now all set to mesmerize the nation with his role as a judge in X FACTOR INDIA .
Sanjay Leela Bhansali: Needless to say, one of India's greatest film makers having moved hearts right from his first film, Khamoshi -- The Musical to Hum Dil Chuke Sanam to Guzaarish, this producer, writer, director and recently turned musician has received several accolades for his creativity abilities. As one of the judges for X FACTOR INDIA' Sanjay has vowed to pick only the best.
Shreya Ghoshal: For Shreya life has come full circle, from a being a contestant on a reality show to being the judge on the biggest music reality show on Indian television. This gifted singer's first film "Devdas" not only saw her getting a Filmfare 'RD. Burman Award for New Music Talent' but also the 'best female playback singer' award. After lending her voice in more than 180 films and receiving four National Film Awards, she is all set to win hearts in her new avatar as a judge in X FACTOR INDIA.
