The goal of this group is to fuse meditation/prayer with social action. It is an open tent, and, within the framework of a focus on silence/stillness, everyone can meditate/pray in their way.
At the core of my vision is that our consciousness needs to evolve in order to create a world that we would like to live in. There is an idea that the outer world reflects the inner, and that when we can hold our own conflicts in the vessel of a greater felt unity, then we become an irresistible force of change.
The new (and ancient) science of consciousness has also observed that a more coherent field prevails over a less ordered one. So simply by congregating in public and establishing a heart-centered and grounded field, we positively restructure the space we are engaging.
The flash mob component allows the group to flexibly congregate in various public locations, in order to spontaneously create a point of interface between the meditators and the public at large.
