The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is a major national voluntary health agency dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract diseases, improving the health and well being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increasing availability of all organs for transplantation.

The NKF is meeting the growing public health challenge of chronic kidney disease with a range of programs and services for hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals, millions of patients and tens of millions of Americans at risk. The NKF and its local offices around the country provide extensive public, patient and professional education, conduct free early detection screenings, advocate for legislation that helps kidney patients and offer ongoing support.
