A retired U.S. Army Green Beret soldier is questioning the potential acquisition of a former Walmart store by officials in Flathead County, Montana, to be used to expand a nearby jail because it appears as though the old retail space is much more than might be necessary.
As reported by the former Green Beret, writing under the moniker "Jeremiah Johnson" on the SHTFPlan.com alternative news website, the official reason given for the purchase is an expansion of the county jail. That seems odd, he writes, because "there is not that much crime in the area to warrant a purchase of this size" – 130,000 square feet.
