Holmes criticizes the high-tech security system as being easily breached by the any common thief.

Just as the London-based detective demonstrates just how easily the system can be deactivated, the priceless gem is stolen from the Royal Regent Museum by criminal master mind Giles Conover.

The "consulting detective" is now obliged to recover the Borgia Pearl.

Aided by his friend & doctor John Watson - Holmes learns of a series of brutal murders that seemed to have been commited by a malevolent man mountain known only as 'the Creeper'.
