The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, Planning and Response Team - in a support function with the Federal Emergency Management Agency - manages the design and construction of a temporary housing group site in Prattsville N.Y.
After the damage done by Tropical Storm Irene, FEMA took on a temporary housing mission, which involved primarily installing individual temporary housing units on the property of homeowners severely impacted by Irene's floodwaters and FEMA called upon the Corps of Engineers when a group site needed to be developed where up to 20 temporary housing units could be located. This video is a brief description of the Corps of Engineers PRT's role in designing and managing the construction of the temporary housing group site in Prattsville, N.Y.
