A jumbo jet taxi-ing along the runway (and how much time would they have before that ran out?), lights on trucks moving with it, as were huge fans blowing fake snow, the hero helicopter from which the stunt-man jumps, and another helicopter to film it from. Wow.
The confrontation between Bruce Willis and William Sadler on the airplane's wing took several nights to shoot. This would all be CG now. And no wonder - with its spiraling budget, at one point DH2 was costing 20th Century Fox over $20,000 for every minute of every day. And in 1990 that was a lot!
