The Jordan Foundation of Anthony L. Jordan Health Center hosted its third annual "Patients First" luncheon at the Rochester Convention Center.

The guest speaker was the superman of doctors, Bradford Berk, MD, who captivated the crowd of nearly 400 guests as he spoke about the high quality of care, comfort and compassion given to Jordan patients.

Two awards were presented today: the first to Ruth Lawrence, MD for her Lifetime Achievements and the second, the inagural "President's Award," to Congresswoman Louise Slaughter for her tireless advocacy on behalf of the health of Rochester residents.

The luncheon celebrated the Center's designation as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home, and it's quality achievements through efficiencies being garnered through an ongoing Lean Six Sigma process optimization rollout and the successful adoption of an Electronic Medical Records program.

The partnerships Jordan has formed with the community are part and parcel of its goal to develop the humble bastion of healthcare services for northeast Rochesterians into a nationally recognized model of healthcare reform's hope: high care, low cost effective and efficient patient care treating the whole patient with dignity and respect.
