Burland Lane is an ancient track that was used by drovers, when they took their animals from Ilfracombe to Braunton. In recent times it has more often been used by walkers and riders, and through gaps in the hedges there are magnificent views of Dartmoor to the south, and Bideford Bay to the south and West. Until the last few months, when the Fullabrook Down Wind Farm construction work began, it was very peaceful.
