Presented by Dr. Sergey Tarima, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Biostatistics, Medical College of Wisconsin.
Logistic regression is one of most popular tools in the analysis of binary outcomes. We start this talk with definitions of odds and odds ratios and their use in interpretation of simple logistic regression models. Further, we explore the simple logistic regression with continuous and categorical predictors and discuss interpretation of their regression coefficients. The multiple logistic regression will be introduced with a two predictor case. The talk will be concluded with assumptions needed for fitting logistic regression models. A few simple illustrative examples will be used to describe the covered concepts.
