This is a short demonstration video of some hacks I worked on yesterday to try to get "monitor mode" footage out of a game built exclusively for the Oculus Rift DK2. The game includes three hacks: 1. eliminate chromatic abberation correction; 2. eliminate lens distortion correction; 3. eliminate the fuzzy border. I also ran the game at 4K resolution and captured the left-eye view only to get full 1080p resolution. Details in this thread:

I am still manipulating the viewpoint using the Rift's headtracking, but no image is displayed on the Rift, so I am moving it using my hands while watching the monitor. This was necessary to run at 3840x2160 resolution (1920x2160 per eye); if I run at 1920x1080 resolution, I can wear the Rift normally while playing, but from my viewpoint inside the Rift, the image will be distorted around the edges and will have more chromatic abberation than normally.
