Introducing the AsthmaMD 3.0 app the leading free asthma management app. Now available with AsthmaMD Peak Flow Meter in 15,000 CVS, Walgreens pharmacies in US.


Medical doctor and researcher Sam Pejham, UCSF Medical School Clinical faculty and director of Tri-Valley Pediatrics is the creator of the app, AsthmaMD. The free application allow users who suffer from asthma to easily and quickly log their asthma activity, their medication, causes of their asthma in the form a diary. Users can then share a color graph chart of their asthma activity and a diary with their physician in a format that can easily be included into users' medical record. Where AsthmaMD really tries to make a difference is by gathering anonymous asthma data and help researcher with unprecedented information into causes and external correlation of asthma. Users of AsthmaMD have an option to opt-in and allow the iphone application send an encrypted and anonymized data like, the severity of their asthma, time, date and location to a database managed by google. Thereby, giving researchers visibility to find correlation between higher asthma rate in a specific vicinity, time and date, pollutant and climate to name a few. The ability to gather these type of data, especially in real-time is unprecedented and Dr. Sam Pejham hopes it would have a great impact in advancing asthma research.
