The Avantidrome was a journey for Livingstone Building. Livingstone was a major component in the awarding of the Home of Cycling facility in the Waikato Region.

Construction of the Avantidrome started in 2012, comprising 1,100 tonnes of structural steel, 3,500 m3 of concrete and 52 kilometres of hand laid, hand nailed Siberian Spruce timber track. The structure stretches 77 metres wide by 120 metres long. Not only does this structure house the world class cycling track, it also facilitates a bike shop, café, full gymnasium, Home of Cycling offices, High Performance Head Sport, Bike NZ, Tri NZ, Waikato University laboratories, conference rooms and outside a skills park and the Te Awa cycleway.

Livingstone was able to complete the Avantidrome build ahead of time and under budget.
