Marlowe is a 40 to 70 year old man who's suffering from prosopagnosia, the condition in which one cannot memorize and recognize faces. He lives alone, surrounded by thousands of notes and photos, which are helping his memory to keep track of people in his life. Indeed, he needs to focus on details others wouldn't notice in order to recognize someone and thus give a reasonable structure to his existence. An unexpected upcoming meeting will put him in the position of reflecting upon his condition.
