Note to self: Dalai Lama jokes may not hit their mark when told to, well, the Dalai Lama himself.
This was recently proved by Karl Stefanovic, an Australian news anchor, who decided to fill up some leftover time at the end of the interview by taking advice from his young son. "He told me a gag the night before, and he said, 'Dad, you have to ask the Dalai Lama this gag.'" So, Stefanovic did just that ... which then led to a fairly confused, and confusing, situation that left the Aussie in stitches.
"It was lame, awful and embarassing," Stefanovic said on Fox and Friends on Wednesday.
Yet, the anchor took it all in stride and seems to be rebounding well from the amusing gaff. He even made some new 'friends' this morning; Brian invited himself to stay for free at Stefanovic's Australia abode, telling him that Steve Doocy would gladly return the favor when Karl decides to visit New York City.
