Black people HATED Vanilla Ice back in the early 1990s especially black celebrities and musicians. Arsenio was one of them .He couldnt stand Rob.I remember all of this controversy about Rob. It was nothing. His record producers lied about his background to the media to promote his album and Rob had no idea what they were making up about him at the time so it made him look like a liar. He was totally trashed by the media and tabloids which almost ruined his career.

You can go all around the world black people in Puerto Rico, black people in Mexico black people here in America. There is a rhythm in a naturally because we are gods people. Who hate God's people?👿

I love Arsenio Hall as an actor, comedian and talk show host, and I usually agree with him on most subjects. But I think he was waay out of line in his interview with Vanilla Ice. Arsenio's comment that "some black rappers might be mad at you [V-Ice] cuz you're selling rap albums to ppl who before would never listen to rap." Umm ya soo! That's like V-Ice saying black ppl never watched late night talk shows until Arsenio came on the scene...so Johnny Carson and Dave Letterman should be pissed with you??? I really think Arsenio was just pandering to black America and the rappers by going after "whitey" simply cuz he sold a million records. I think Arsenio dissing him like that constitutes as reverse discrimination. And if it was really just about getting truth out to his audience, I wonder if Arsenio would have done the same thing to Dr. Dre by asking him if he was really from Compton - cuz that rumour was going around at that time too (and turned out to be true). But Arsenio wasn't going to put his "brotha" on the spot like that on national TV.

F. Mazz. Absolutely, he didn't have to be a fan or agree with him but he was supposed to be subjective as a host. He just showed pure hatred, not for a political figure or war monger but a fuckin artist he didn't like lol. I'm not a fan of ice but I don't agree with these tactics

If you look on youtube Arsenio explains in a recent interview that he had found out that a lot of facts he was gonna interview Vanilla Ice about were false like winning an MX Motocross championship and a few other thing. He had found out just that afternoon before the interview and basically was pissed at Vanilla Ice for portraying a false image. Arsenio even said you could tell in the interview he was not feeling it.

Racism goes both ways.  I really like Arsenio, but he was behaving just like a rattle snake, striking at Vanilla Ice every chance he had.  How could a person be so disrespectful to your guess.  Vanilla Ice should have walked off the stage and told Arsenio to kiss his w-a$$.

+libjj First go get an early 1800 dictionary to really define the term "Racism" people use the world out of term. You claim you watch Hall every night , but never notice how much praise he gave 3RD Bass. Everyone during that time, not just Hall was calling Winkle out after the info leak that he was lying about a lot of stuff. Hall job was to deliver what the fans wanted to hear, which also create ratings. Just like today talk show host are way more aggressive then Hall was. Do we call them racist or bias because they're focusing on what fans really want to hear? Most black rapper needed singers? Seems to me you're the one that really bias. Ice sold cause he was more pop then anything and appeal to a larger white fan base dude. There were many rappers that could out rap him during that time. Rakim, KRS one Big Daddy Kane and so on. Please remove yourself from this thread. Plus this wasn't about if he could rap, it was more of him lying about where he came from. Wow....

Tito Tim there's a story on Vlad as to why Arsenio was like this with Vanilla Ice. Arsenio was pissed during this interview due to some things he found out prior to this interview. There were a lot of lies from Vanilla Ice prior to the interview. The motocross championship was just the tip of the iceberg.

I am AMAZED how well vanilla ice kept his composure! Any modern day entertainer would of been very loud, defensive and probably would of walked off the set!!! The way arsenio kept ATTACKING him was ridiculous! He did not have one good thing to say about vanilla ice and the way he went about this interview was very unprofessional! I understand we live in times where it's ok to make up a story about where you came from or who you are and it wasn't acceptable back then, but it's mighty funny to see alot of them rappers who everyone thought were straight killers back then turned out to be soft as a pillow with a made up storyline for their careers also... Music is entertainment, just like the film industry. It's just that people with a lack of education and morals want that person behind the camera or mic to be that same person outside the studio! To me that's just crazy!

+SweWince No, this is a show for entertainment. No reason to be pissed and treat him or the interview like a deposition. His snide remark about using flavor flav as a black supporter, was clearly over the line which can be insinuated as a racial innuendo. If he was going to call out Vanilla Ice about his past, then he could actually call out any of those rappers about their pasts.

Yes, when flavor flav came out he said "Did you bring him out because hes a black man?" I mean come on, who says that shit? An idiot racist, and i'm glad his show got canceled....again.

+villainy73 Everything he did was racially biased. He would never treat a black celeb like that. Just a completely racially  biased jerk.
