No, not a "cannon", a "canon", for a switch. I tried making J.S. Bach's Crab Canon in Minecraft. Other than being an ubernerdy reference (I learned about it from the great book "Godel Escher Bach"), this is a nice piece of music for Minecraft rails, as it is palindromic. In other words, it plays the same backwards or forwards. I built just half of the piece here - there wasn't quite space for the whole thing without destroying some scenery. So I ride the rails in both directions and spliced them together to present the whole piece.
The thing sort of works, but various delays within the program (or is it the length of wires, or the inclines?) make it sound less like a harpsicord and more like someone turning the crank on a music box at an uneven rate. I thought I'd record it while boosters are still working, since we'll be busy repairing everything once the next patch drops.
To download and toy with it, just get a copy of our world from http://vokselia.com, which contains links to all things Vokselian. Take the train to HiLo station (old YAXUL line) from spawn (get a cart in the chest in the Community Station) and you'll see it.
