This is how I cornrow my own hair. Here are a few helpful hints to get your started!

1.Since cornrows are french braids, I strongly suggest learning how to french braid first.

2. practice big french braids on your own head first to get use to the angle you will be working at. If you don't know how to practice on your own head, here is a video that should help! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_AMNW...

3. It won't be easy getting into a groove, it does take a lot of practice so don't get discouraged!! Remember practice makes perfect! :)

4. If your arms or neck are getting sore take a 10-15 minute break and restart fresh! It will make you nuts if you don't!! lol

Other than that, good luck and tell me how it goes!!

P.S. you can buy really small clear elastics (smaller than your pinky nail!) at Walmart. I don't really recommend the ones from the dollar store they break super easy!!

:) Kelly
