Eight state legislators were in Washington D.C. on Thursday advocating for the importance of the Highway Trust Fund to their states. The fund, by all accounts, is nearing insolvency as soon as late August, which will force the U.S. Department of Transportation to begin delaying state reimbursements starting Aug.1 if Congress does not act.
