One in ten babies worldwide are born prematurely and 75% of deaths resulting from premature birth could be avoided if inexpensive treatments were more readily available.

The 2014 James Dyson Award winner is MOM: an inflatable incubator designed to reduce the number of premature infant deaths in the developing world.

The international runners-up of this student design award are QOLO, Suncayr and BRUISE – find out more at www.jamesdysonaward.org
